Local 391 Secretary Paul von Eisengrein presents Major
Michael Dudek (center) and Commander John Kinsky with
a Global Positioning System.

In
a continuing effort to assist the local community, Local
391 donated a Global Positioning System (GPS) to the 103rd
Composite Squadron of the Connecticut Civil Air Patrol in
Windsor Locks. Civil Air Patrol officers will use the GPS
to aid in their search and rescue missions.
Local
391 President Jon Pepe, Secretary Paul von Eisengrein and
Treasurer Todd Sokolowski presented the GPS on the evening
of March 4, 2005.
Accepting
the donation on behalf of the Civil Air Patrol were Major
Michael Dudek and Commander John Kinsky, along with 20 CAP
cadets who cheered the Local's generosity.
Major
Dudek is a retired Correction Officer and Local 391 member
who worked at Osborn Correctional Institution.
"The
Civil Air Patrol has a long and rich history of serving
the citizens of our state and our nation," commented
President Pepe. "From search and rescue missions to
disaster relief and homeland security operations, Civil
Air Patrol members like Brother Dudek are there to help
keep us safe and sound. Donating the GPS is one way to say
thanks."
